sometimes when i'm sitting here at work, signing paperwork or making meeting schedules or ordering books, i feel like a kid playing office. i wonder if my brain is ever going to catch up to my life. |

my cats were spooning on this couch this morning. it was so cute i almost cried.
thank god the white sox won. when they don't, the boy doesn't speak for days. same with the bears. i get it, him being so upset, but it's frustrating to experience.
a girl just walked up to the reference desk and told me her shoes are on the wrong feet. it is one of those nights in libraryland. |

so another one of my cousins is getting married. now i've got a wedding in october, a wedding in november, and a ridiculous amount next year. not to mention the showers, engagement parties, and who the hell knows what else.
i just went online to look at the registry for this thing and do not know what to buy. a $25 muffin pan? maybe the $15 measuring spoons. the $80 toaster??? dude my toaster at home is from walgreens and was MAYBE 10 bucks. when do i get all this? why am i buying other people expensive toasters and not myself? do i have to get married to have a set of silverware that matches?

*they watch WB shows in the breakroom and laugh their asses off
*they collect beanie babies
*they work in a library and don't know who wrote oliver twist
*they give each other presents and cards for every occasion (for example, congratulations on your daughter's first day of kindergarten or YAY, you got a wart removed!)
*they don't change the toilet paper roll in the staff bathroom
*they only check out and bring home DVDs, never books unless they're oprah book club selections
*they never shut the fuck up |
